Penny is an Associate Professor at Plymouth University. Her expertise is in Non-Medical Prescribing and Medicines Management. She has a background in Adult Nursing, Health Visiting and Children’s Nursing. She works nationally with the Community Practitioners and Health Visitors Association as their prescribing link and is a Fellow of the Institute of Health Visiting. Penny is part of the BNF Sub-committee for the Community Practitioners Formulary. She has published widely with regards to Non-Medical Prescribing and Medicines Management.

Calling All Prescribers!![]()
Can you help our PhD Student with a research study conducting interviews to explore how primary care-based prescribers make decisions about prescribing for older patients who have hearing and/or vision impairment or loss. Participants who are health care professionals and who are actively involved in prescribing medications for older people with sensory impairment, such as nurses, pharmacists, doctors, and allied health care professionals for example, optometrists and audiologists please get in touch. The interviews will take place between now and the end of March 2024.
