Developing the Role of the Nursing Associate

Case studies will look at experiences in acute trusts, community trusts and general practice. The conference will also discuss implementing the 2018 Guidance on Medicines Management and the Nursing Associate and  the new October 2018 Standards of Proficiency for Nurse Associates.

A Practical Guide to Effective Non-Medical Prescribing in Mental Health

This conference focuses on the important issue of Non Medical Prescribing in Mental Health. The conference will look at national developments in non medical prescribing in mental health, improving and maintaining prescribing competence and the use of the national prescribing competency framework in mental health. Extended sessions will focus on developing your skills as an effective non medical prescriber and case studies will demonstrate established practice in non medical prescribing within dual diagnosis, mental health crisis services, and physical health monitoring. The conference will also look at developing non medical prescribing including auditing your prescribing practice, and supporting the expansion of non medical prescribing practice in Mental Health.
